Meet the federal election candidates running in Ottawa
We break down all the different major election candidates putting their names forward

Given the snap election, not all candidates have been nominated or acclaimed. The Lookout has compiled a list of who’s running based on readily available information. where possible, we’ve included links to the candidates’ websites.
Some ridings have also had their boundaries changed. We’ve listed some of the biggest changes, and have included links to the new seat maps.
Ottawa Centre
Liberal: Yasir Naqvi (incumbent)
NDP: Joel Harden - was the NDP MPP for Ottawa Centre from 2018 until 2025.
Conservative: Paul D’Orsonnens
Green: Amanda Rosenstock
Ottawa Centre's western boundary will now end at Golden Avenue. The Heron Park and Riverside Park communities will now become part of the riding, with the boundaries ending at Bank Street and the CN rail line past Walkley. This will also now include the Mooneys Bay neighbourhood.
Nepean
Liberal: Mark Carney - current Prime Minister and Liberal Party leader
Conservative: Barbara Bal
NDP: No candidate announced
The Nepean boundaries will now end at Highway 416 in the west instead of Eagleson Road. This means Bells Corners will no longer be part of this riding. Instead of ending at Bankfield Road in the South, it will now end at Barnsdale.
Ottawa-West Nepean
Liberal: Anita Vandenbeld (incumbent)
Conservative: Ryan Telford
NDP: Josh Bizjak
The Carlington community will now fully be located in Ottawa-West Nepean. A portion of it used to be located in Ottawa Centre. Homes west of Golden Avenue will also become part of the riding, impacting residents in Highland Park and Carlingwood - McKellar Park - Laurentian View.
Ottawa-Vanier-Gloucester
Liberal: Mona Fortier (incumbent)
Conservative: Dean Wythe
NDP: Tristan Oliff
Ottawa Vanier is now becoming the riding of Ottawa-Vanier-Gloucester. While boundaries to the west stay the same, the community of Blackburn Hamlet is being added.
Orléans
Liberal: Marie-France Lalonde (incumbent)
Conservative: Steve Mansour - Orléans Coun. Mathew Lulloff was originally the Conservative Party candidate for the riding, but he had to step aside after an impaired driving charge.
NDP: Oulai B. Goué
There don’t appear to be that many changes to report in Orléans. The boundaries follow Cardinal Creek in the east to Navan Road in the east. It will end at the Prescott-Russell Recreation Trail in the south.
Kanata
Liberal: Jenna Sudds (incumbent)
Conservative: Greg Kung
NDP: No candidate announced
Kanata-Carleton will now become just Kanata. One of the biggest changes is the addition of Bell’s Corners which used to be part of Nepean. Stittsville will now become part of Carleton.
Carleton
Conservative: Pierre Poilievre (incumbent) - and Conservative Party Leader
Liberal: Bruce Fanjoy
NDP: No candidate announced
The biggest change in Carleton appears to be the addition of Stittsville.
Ottawa South
Liberal: David McGuinty (incumbent)
Conservative: Blair Turner
NDP: No candidate announced
The community of Findlay Creek is becoming part of Ottawa South. It used to be located in the riding of Carleton. The Heron Park and Riverside Park communities are being removed from Ottawa South and will now be part of Ottawa Centre.
