For too long, Canada’s largest media corporations have hollowed out local newsrooms and embraced high volume-clickbait stories. They’ve chased profit and margins instead of stories.

Our mission is simple — revitalize and invest in local, neighbourhood news across this city. We cover the issues shape Ottawa, through long-form, in-depth stories you can’t find anywhere else.

We can do all this because we’re mostly reader-funded and aren’t reliant on old, broken media models.
