Geoff Sharpe, Founder and Managing Editor of Lookout Media

Geoff Sharpe is the founder of Lookout Media. He has worked in the media and nonprofit world for 10+ years. He started Lookout Media after realizing how much local news is struggling across Canada. He works with the Ottawa team to deliver the best journalism possible.

Charlie Senack, Managing Editor of the Ottawa Lookout

Charlie Senack is the managing editor of the Ottawa Lookout. His work has also appeared in multiple other publications, including the Ottawa Citizen, Ottawa Business Journal, Kitchissippi Times, and Barrhaven Independent. Senack has won nine Ontario Community Newspaper Association awards, including first place for the 2024 Ontario Reporter of the Year. 

Sarah MacFarlane-Youngdale, Senior Editor and Journalist

Sarah is the senior editor of the Ottawa Lookout. She was born and raised in Ottawa and is a graduate of Carleton University’s School of Journalism. Prior to joining the Lookout Team, Sarah covered local business for the Ottawa Business Journal. She most recently was a journalist with iPolitics and the Ottawa Compass where she covered federal policy, federal and provincial politics, Parliament Hill, City Hall, and everything in between. She also writes for the Ottawa Lookout.

Ralf Joneikies, Food and Drink Editor

Ralf is the food and drinks editor at Capital Eats, our food-focued newsletter at Ottawa Lookout. He spends his time finding hidden gem restaurants throughout the city and has quickly grown Capital Eats into Ottawa’s most trusted and fastest growing resource for restaurant reviews
